The drug talk is neither fun nor comfortable, but it is necessary. In fact, it has never been quite as important as it is today.In 2015, 772 teenagers died from overdosing on drugs.A U.S. National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) study tells us that fewer teens are using drugs. But the overdose rates tell us that more teens are using heavy drugs than ever before.
Alcohol isn’t any safer. Excessive drinking is responsible for more than 4,300 deaths among underage youth. Not to be dramatic, but our teens are undoubtedly facing grave danger. And it’s our responsibility to keep them safe.
